This one is for the mushroom connoisseurs. White Flower Shiitake Mushrooms are the finest grades of Shiitake. Expertly sourced from Japan, White Flower Shiitake Mushrooms are known by their distinct “baau fa,” or the white fissures found on the caps. Japanese mushrooms are known to be the best quality in terms of origin, and we are proud to bring these directly to your dinner table (or lunch). Shiitakes are known to be rich in umami, high in vitamins, which makes them a delicious replacement for protein. To cook White Flower Shiitake mushrooms, we first like to thoroughly rinse them, prepare hot water, and soak until the mushrooms are soft. We save the mushroom water to use as a stock. Add these to your favorite stir fry, soups, stews, and other dishes that call for an umami bomb on your tastebuds. Each bag of mushrooms are hand-selected and packed in our California facility after going through quality control practices.
